Scuba Diving
Alex has
many years experience in the diving industry, not just as a
diver but also as an instructor. Her qualifications include
CMAS *** Instructor, BSAC Advanced Instrucor, PADI Master Scuba
Diver Trainer, SSI Dive Control Specialist Instructor, IANTD and ANDI as well as associated
qualifications with the RYA and HSE. Although trained and qualified in
the UK (roughie toughie diver!) Alex has some fabulous
experiences from around the world including Scapa Flow, France,
Egypt, Israel, Belize, Micronesia, Melanesia and the absolute
cream of the crop, Galapagos.
Teaching scuba diving requires many skills in different
environments such as the classroom, swimming pool (or confined
water) as well as the open water. Empathy, encouragement
and leadership are all key elements in this challenging
activity. Alex has taught children and adults alike in all
elements of their scuba diving courses.
As well as scuba
diving skills Alex also has the following qualifications and
experience :
RYA : Yachtmaster (offshore),
GMDSS Short Range (Trainer & Assessor) and First Aid.
BSAC : Boat Handling, Diver Coxswain,
Chartwork & Position Fixing, Outboard Engine &
Maintenance, Compressor Operation and Management, First Aid,
Oxygen Administration, Nitrox, Extended Range, Search &
Recovery, Dive Planning & Marshalling, Practical Rescue
Management and Advanced Diving Techniques.
PADI : Underwater Navigation, Deep
Diving, Search & Recovery, Multilevel Diving and Boat Diving.
