Dog Walking, Horse Care & Pet Sitting

Alex is available for home visits which include dog walking, feeding small pets (ie. cats & rabbits) and tending to larger pets such as horses.

Dog Walking

Dogs will be walked on their own (not with others unless from the same household) at the rate of £5 per half hour and £10 per hour walk.

Due to insurance purposes the following will not be accepted:  non neutered males, bitches in season and dogs with behavioural problems.

Home Visits

Visits to your home to feed your pet will be charged at £5 per visit (half hour).

In the event of regular or extended visits, then the rate will be adjusted to individual requirements.

In all cases, pet food, water bowl, collars, head collars, leads, leading ropes and bedding will be provided by the client.

Unless under very exceptional circumstances, I am unable to care for your pet in my own home.

The above rates are for Tattenhall and immediate area.  For visits further afield there will be the additional cost of travel expenses.

Canine Experience

Because Alex is an outdoor, energetic type, she loves to take out and play with dogs, and has masses of experience, particularly with border collies.  Whatever your dog's age, shape or size, Alex will adapt to their, and your, individual needs.

Small Pet Experience

Alex has had cats, rabbits and gerbils as pets.  If you need somebody just to check on your pet whilst you are away, she would be more than happy to assist.

Equine Experience

Alex learned to ride as a child and has been doing so to a lesser or greater degree ever since.  She spent many years at the stables helping her father look after his horses while gaining her riding and stable management experience.

Although her riding preference is to hack out (particularly western style), Alex loves to be around horses be it feeding, grooming or leading them in and out of their stables.

Many hours have been spent in the saddle and some of the most enjoyable have been on trekking and overnight camping trips, particularly in New Zealand where Alex was riding one of her favourite breeds, the Appaloosa.  As well as riding, she has acted as a counterbalance on the cart when out with her friend who regularly carriage drives in England.
